As of January 1, 2023, homes built January 1, 1980 or later will no longer need a home energy assessment to be completed/scheduled in order to be eligible for RRES. In these instances, verification of the year the home was built is required with the application.
When filling out a new application opting to waive the energy assessment requirement due to the home's built date, you can enter this in PowerClerk as seen in the screenshot below. Then the portal will also require a town property card be uploaded to verify the built date.
For an existing application that was submitted prior to 1/1/23 that was followed up on for the energy assessment requirement but is now eligible to waive it based on this change, when resubmitting please write a comment confirming to that effect and upload the town property card to verify the built date.
